My makan habits$BlogItemTitle$>
My eating habits has always been peculiar. I'm always eating the main thingy like rice or noodle before eating the side dishes. Being in school for the last few years, my GFs laugh at me for eating weirdly. I would even eat the bread of the hamburger first before eating the meat, and I laugh at Ng for eating her hamburger upside-down.
My father spanked me into it! Believe it or not. I hate eating. It's completely the parents fault can! I've never seen the need for makan in my childhood years. Cos my dad would drive us to some place to eat, and I would never fail to barf out everything when I get carsick on the way home. -___- So it didnt matter to me if I eat or not.
Somemore everytime, be it breakfast lunch or dinner, due to the uncooperative food (it's the ALL food's fault for not disappearing fast enough) Daddy would be angry, like at least 90% of the time. So you can imagine my childhood life :( ruined by food.
My appetite was small too. It was so bad that I can remember the first time I finish a plate of food by myself. Some day in my pri4 years, after church service, at the kopitiam near church, chicken rice. WOW!
I ended up hating food. With the exception of chocolate (of course).
It didnt help that everytime when I wanted to play, be it the playground, or at Genting, Malaca or wherever, the adults would always insist we ate first. Think I mention this before at some random post way back. So help me, I never felt hungry before when I was a child.
1 plate of rice takes me more than an hour to finish. When the family's mood was good, they would laugh at me and call me a hamster. Cos I would stuff all the food into my mouth, or rather act that I was eating for the sake of daddy, and shove the food to the side of my mouth for storage. I just didnt want to eat it, mostly knowing that I'll puke them up later.
On bad mood days, mostly in hawker centre cos daddy would sweat bullets and get mad every passing min, and I sat there not touching my food at all. Some lucky days(for me) daddy would get so pissed off waiting for me to finish my food that he storms away from the table. And I would be freaking happy cos I didnt need to eat anymore.
Oh and I always did the "
oops I dropped my food" routine. Anywhere also good la, on the table, on the floor. Just as long as I dont need to eat the food anymore. Lol. I even stuffed tissue papers.
At home, normally I would just eat as slow as possible so no one would notice that I junk my food afterwards.
Dont judge me! Dont tell me you never junk food in your whole life. Anyway there was once I threw a whole bowl of noodles out of the kitchen window.
Stupid. That was the laundry side can! Our neighbour from 1 floor below us came up a little after. Asking if someone threw beehoon on their clothes. -_____- Hais. That was a terrible day. :(
Anyway thats just it. Got a scolding and everything..
Of all foods, I hate seafood the most. Loathe it! Hate the fishy smell and taste. But ironically, my favourite dish is Swensen's Fish & Chips. :D If my parents wanted to cheat me into eating seafood they would bring us to Swensens to eat. Hoho~!
And I would only eat the fish, the fries part I always couldnt finish. Always after eating the best part, (the fish!) I would be full to the max. Stared at the plate and poking the fries wishing that it would just magically disappear~
Sadly, fairytales dont come true, and the french fries remained poked and still on my plate.
About 3 5 years of this, I became smarter! I concluded to myself it was all my mind's work. And I did a test. I ate the french fries first. All of it! So even if I ended up being full beore eating the fish, I would have to make space in my stomach for it either way.
IT WORKED CAN! I finished the whole plate myself! Fish, fries all. :D So pleased with myself lol.
So ya thats why my eating habits are like that. And please lorh! It's still beats eating a hamburger upside-down! :P
