Can you believe I have a shytload of things to blog about?! It's almost my piling lundry basket. Many to blog but I'm gonna continue it at night. This first.

Yesterday, I was feeling a little desperate for moolahs, so I brought The Straits Times. Only needed the classified sections, AND YOU KNOW WHAT?! Of the whole newspaper, the part time/temporary section was only.


CAN?! WTF I paid 90cents for that microsopic section!

And there was only 1 flyer job available, so I chose that.

"DR-TO-DR FLYER DISTRIBUTORS. Students welcome. Bedok. Immed. SMS name & age 9 1 8 4 * * * * "

I smsed them around 1, cos thats when my work ended. I got a reply around 4pm. (Another wtf)

"Can you start tmr sat 1230pm meet at tampines mrt? Pay is 10blocks for $13 - $17. Time taken around 3hrs. Minimum must work 6days in a month- pays aft 6days."

Nvm the broken english. I wasnt thinking about pay per block. I always go by pay per hour de lah can! Anyway 3 hours $13 not too bad for a flyer job. So I took it up.

I smsed the person a bit more, asking about the difference between the 13 & 17 bucks pay. Piang, wait for hours for his reply can, patronising one somemore

"Pls check with the supervisor tmr"

Just went there, like on the dot 12.30. About 10+ people turned up. Thought I could start asap, but no. We all stood there like idiots while waiting for the 3 leaders infront of all, 1 damn short (I couldnt make out is a he or she) only reached my waist there, 1 nerd & 1 girl (June). Took attendence.

Waited for 30mins! I was like boiling already, both inside and outside can! Half wanted to just turn away and go. Freaking waste my time still say start at 12.30.

A ragged paper was passed around, it had a "distributors rules" heading. Regreted not taking a photo of it.
RULES horh! Mai play play, now want give flyers also must have rules.

And the rules was unreasonable. (says daddy)
I felt it was unreasonable also la, but I dont know much about society see, so I'm a no good judge.

(in this context, and to the best of my memory)
In random orders:
1. letterbox = NO PAY
on the floor = NO PAY

must be on the gates (or stick in between the gate gaps)

2. Blocks with 4 storeys are NOT counted, (call leader to make a block exchange if you have a 4storey block in your list)

3. 1 type of flyer - $1.30 per block
2 types of flyer - $1.70 per block

4. when giving out 2 types of flyer, the flyers must be se parated.
(Cannot stack upon each other and stick into the gate, MUST place one on the left & one on the right side of the gate) wth.

5. 3 blocks, sms leader once to notify that you have completed 3 blocks.
5 blocks, call leader to notify them so they can check your blocks.

6. Pay only given after 6 days of work.

7. Pay only though Bank Transfer.

8. Violation of any rules will mean forfeit 6 days of pay.

Plus during briefing this June told us that the first day must work 5 hours. Scam right?! Only after you work 6 days, would they take your bank account number to transfer the moolah to you.

After another round of calculation, it would mean only 2 or 3 bucks per hour! It's damn scimpy lah! I worked before $5 per block flyer jobs de lorhs! This is TOO cheap!

BUT, what if they run? What if they make you sweat and slough like a cow for them, and on the six day they accuse you of breaking their nonsensical rules? NO PAY!

I backed out anyway, after getting some sympathy from Jie. My resolve to work even with the 4/5 bucks per hour was already wavering when they made me wait for 30mins. So pissed off can! wth *roll eyes So it was the trigger when they told me I had to work for 5 hours + the stupid rules.

So I warn the other poor people out there, dont even bother answering to this ad in the future. (: Then again maybe they're honest I wouldnt know.
